Sometimes just challenging yourself isn't enough. Not enough to give you what you want. Not enough to make you happy. Sometimes you not only have to challenge yourself but you gotta beat that challenge. And there's only one real way to do it. It's down in you, maybe far down enough that you forgot it's there but you gotta tap into that. You gotta screw the lid on panic and put the hammer down when your number gets called. It's sometimes not enough just to be in the game because sometimes the game you're in is a whole lot bigger than what you prepared for. And that's when you gotta rely on what the good Lord gave you. Your skills. Your talents. Your knowledge.
Sometimes it's on you.
And that's when you know you're alive.
I have a feeling you're not talking about the picture and that's cool. But I will reflect and say that about when this picture was taken, I was in 'that' place...reaching down and using what the Lord gave me. And holly shit... :) What a day...
